Morning y’all.
Have you missed me like I’ve missed your views on my blog? I hope so.
Sorry I’ve been MIA, but I’ve been writing a lot of blogs for my job’s website (don’t judge) and the thought of coming home and churning out more content has left me like…
Honestly, I haven’t had much time to sit down and write. December has been a whirlwind of decorating, events, gatherings, a number of holiday parties and tons of walking and driving around in search of presents! And while I’ve barely had time to catch my breath and my feet won’t stop throbbing from being wedged in heels all day, I’m not complaining.
This year has been hard to keep up with. I successfully navigated through the first year of my first adult job, signed up for a 401k (still confused about the details), got health insurance, bought a house and got married.
Some serious “adulting” occurred in 12 months so I’m not the least bit bummed that I kept none of my resolutions (did you know only 8 percent of people actually keep them?).
I still bite my nails… Hello, did you not read above? So much happened in such a short amount of time! And after going over my travel schedule for next year, I’ll be lucky if I have any fingers left. So. Much. Planning.
I didn’t read one book in Spanish. However, in my search for books in Spanish, I ended up reading over 10 books this year, which is a lot more than I’ve read in a while. Oh, and I read an issue of HOLA! and Moi. Hey, I tried.
I didn’t work out religiously. Bed > Running. No explanation needed there.
What I did learn this year was to live more and love more, as lame as that sounds. I grew closer with people in my life, I was a better friend than in years past, I volunteered at church and I tried to be a bit more spontaneous and try new things (tried being the key word because I still want to schedule everything in).
2015 was great. 2016 will be even better.
I can’t wait to put on my party skirt and kick off the new year at the Alfond Inn in Winter Park.
Merry Christmas and a happy New Year! What are some of your resolutions? Do you think you’ll keep them?
xx
